Hello!

My name is Anna Kelsey, and I'm a technology strategist currently based in Cambridge, MA working for Democratic political campaigns and other progressive, mission-based organizations. After working as a field organizer in Maine for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 Presidential race, I moved into digital fundraising and spent just over two years at Anne Lewis Strategies. During my time there, I focused on special tech projects for clients as well as more generally on the progressive digital technology space and how campaigns and nonprofits can leverage these technologies most effectively to drive donations and actions. In 2020, I joined the email fundraising team of Elizabeth Warren’s presidential campaign and worked on strategy, drafting content, and deliverability, and then finished out the cycle on the DNC’s Mobilization team. In a previous life, I was an AI Interaction Designer writing the scripts for and deciding on the behavior of an automated personal assistant, and before that I worked at the American Repertory Theater in as many different roles as I could — at final count, I'd spent time working in six different departments.

I graduated from Harvard College in 2014 with a degree in (yes, really) Folklore and Mythology. In my time outside of class, I was a member of the Hasty Pudding Theatricals, a very old drag-musical-theater troupe; served on the board of the Harvard-Radcliffe Dramatic Club; and directed, produced and stage managed 6+ student productions in professional theater spaces. While I no longer spend my days creating theater or comparing different versions of Greek myths, my background in storytelling is vital to my work today.

I see technology as a tool to spread stories and drive action. My mission is to help make it work for candidates and causes that are fighting to put power in the hands of the people. If you'd like to work with me, please reach out. I'm always interested in new and exciting projects where I can bring my unique experience to bear and make an impact.
